Week 1: November 1st (Peel Drop and Turnover Drop)
Week 2: November 8th (Change Up)
Week 3: November 15th (Rise Ball)
Week 4: November 22nd (Curve and Screw Ball)
Featuring: KRISTA UNGER – HEAD SOFTBALL COACH (4th Season) Unger coached the Wildcats to a 41-21 record in 2009, setting a new school record for wins while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. WSC finished 19-6 in the NSIC, good for a fourth place finish. In their first trip to the NCAA Tournament, WSC won two games and advanced to the Central Region Bracket #1 title game before falling to top-seed Winona State 2-0.
Location: Wayne State College Recreational Center (Parking available REC parking lot) Sessions will include:
Fundamentals of softball pitching
Techniques and grips for throwing drop, rise, change, and curve balls
A chance to meet and work with the Wayne State softball players
Access to an indoor facility during winter months
Wayne State Softball Pitching Camp t-shirt if attending all 5 sessions.
ITEMS TO BRING: Players should come dressed for participation. It is recommended that you bring tennis shoes (NO black soled shoes) and water. All players must provide their own gloves and catchers. Catchers are included in the cost of the sessions.
